If you want to become a Christian, there are a few essential steps:

  1. Admit that you are a sinner. We have all sinned and that means we fall short of the glory of God. Sin separates us from God, but we know there is a way for us to be rejoined with Him. (Romans 3:23,5:8, 6:23)
  2. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He came to forgive you of your sins. God sent His son Jesus to die on a cross to pay the payment for sin, which is death. By doing this, the perfect Jesus made a way for us to be joined with God again. (Romans 10:9-10)
  3. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. After admitting that Jesus is Lord, it is important to tell others about the life giving gift that you just received. (Romans 10:13, 11:36)

Romans 10:9 says that if you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  If you have declared this with your mouth and believed in your heart, YOU ARE SAVED!  Welcome to the body of Christ!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. Please forgive me. Come into my life. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Now, help me to live for you the rest of this life.
